Emilia loves to play dress up so I have a big plastic bin of clothes and costumes that she can use.  She calls it "fashioning".

She seemed very proud of the banana slug costume that her Daddy made for her.

Zach couldn't have been happier with his Wall-E costume!

This is the first cooking assistance that I have gotten from Zach.  I asked him to put five chocolate chips in each of his Daddy's birthday cupcakes.  He was very careful to add the five.  Only one had six.

Emilia uses furniture in her own creative ways.  I can usually find her draped across something, sometimes upside down, sometimes sideways, but rarely as the manufacturer anticipated.

Zach is fond of making pumpkin faces.  This is his silly pumpkin face.

This is his scary pumpkin face.  The happy pumpkin face was too blurry to include!

Jim entertains the little ones with his fishing game.  He lowers a rope from the upstairs balcony, usually with a bucket or other container attached.  The kids add something to the bucket and he reels it up.  Then they switch places and do it again.

Here Emilia is ready and waiting for her turn to add something to the fishing line.

They keep us active and well entertained each day!

Zach still enjoys some ipad time

Emilia told me she would be "really sad" if I didn't get a face painting set so there has been some intense face painting in our house this past week.  She spent nearly an hour on two different days painting Grandma's face.

Emilia wearing her beaded scarf that she wanted Grandma to make.

Emilia acting out a Scooby Doo adventure -- she plays Velma (note the glasses), Grandma is Daphne and Grandpa is supposed to be Fred but usually chooses to be Scooby.  Zach is his own character.....

Emilia's horseback ride at her preschool's field trip to the pumpkin patch.

Zach's new hair cut!

See how happy they are when Grandma asks them to sit together so that I can take a picture.  I believe I am tolerated at best!

For Zach the "train ride" was one of the high points of Emilia's field trip.  Unfortunately the "train" had a few low tires and it just made a short circle through the parking lot.

Emilia enjoyed riding on Grandpa's shoulders much more than just plain walking!

Last Half of September, 2012

This is a blurry picture, but I love this look when I get it.

This next series of photos were taken at Paul and Shelby's wedding on September 14.  Emilia is happy with a surprise gift that Grandma and Grandpa had for her in the hotel room.

Zach liked his train (gift) so well that he took it to the wedding later that day.

You have to wonder what Zach is thinking as we wait for the ceremony to start.

Emilia in her Princess Dress posing sweetly for the camera.

Emilia seemed to enjoy the reception even more than the wedding.
