Last Days of September 2011

I think the "hot" weather (70s) brought out Zach's best curls!

Grandma's knitting glasses are fun to try on and pose with....

Week of September 19, 2011

I'm not sure what Zach was looking at here, but it doesn't seem that he approved of it!

Zach was very impressed when Grandpa stood on the center island to clean the skylights.

An afternoon watermelon snack gets even better when you can tease Grandma by making unusual sounds on your piece of watermelon instead of eating it!

Zach was unimpressed.
They both started out coloring their pictures.....

...then Zach decides it is easier to color when you have dumped out the container of crayons.....

...Emilia evidently anticipated the turn of events and just continues.

...while Zach decides it is more fun to move the crayons back and forth rather than work on his picture.  They both worked quite intently.

September 12 - September 16

Some places just look too comfortable to resist.

I'm thinking he might have just done something he knows Grandma might disapprove of...

Emilia knew that I was trying to take her picture during her ipad game so she suddenly decided to try to play the game with the ipad obscuring her face.  It was almost a better game than what was on the screen.

September 6 through September 9

Waking up from a long afternoon nap is a slow process.  First a bit of time on Grandpa's lap then Zach moved into the chair.  Crackers and juice can help as can Wonder Pets or Backyardigans.

Zach came back from summer vacation making the cutest putt-putt-putt sounds whenever he has a train or car in his hand.

Deep in thought.....

Peeling bark from a tree can yield very curious discoveries!

Photos from August 29 through September 2

Zach thinks it is especially great when Grandpa tips over the sofas to vacuum!

Zachary is so incredibly happy to see Emilia each day after school.

Even though it is easy, winning at deck racing against Grandma is so much fun!

Emilia knows that I won't let Zach play with the outlet cover so during one of the "races" she stopped and ran over to open it to see what I would do.  I must say she was especially careful opening it, and that is very hard to do when you have a case of uncontrollable giggles.
