October 3rd through 7th, 2011

Zach has now started counting everything.  It usually goes something like "one, one, one, one" but he's got the concept down!

One of his favorite icons on the ipad is the YouTube icon.  While it goes directly to the Gummi Bear Nuki song, he seems to love a potty training cartoon more.  It has a baby singing "It's my potty and I'll cry if I want to" along with other bodily noises.  We do wish he hadn't found that one......

Emilia's school had a field trip on Friday to a Pumpkin Patch and a great time was had by all.  We hit the playground first and the two of them enjoyed the bouncy house with no one else inside.   They had a GREAT time in there!  Grandpa did have to go in to get Zach out because he really didn't want to leave it.

I think this is Zach's "tough guy" look.  He had been trying to get into one of these little trains at the playground but they were always full of older kids.  Finally the kids moved on and he laid claim to one.  Contrary to the look on his face, I think he was actually pretty happy at this point.

The pony rides were the most popular but we saw a shorter line and went for it.  The best pictures of Emilia on the horse were too blurry to include but her smiles were priceless in them.  Of all of the activities there, the pony rides and the bouncy house were miles above all of the rest in her book!

The man leading the horses around told Zach to put both hands on the horn then realized that Zach was probably too young to understand.  So he gently put both of Zach's hands there and, boy, they both stayed there even when he was starting to tilt to one side.  Luckily Grandpa was close by and could keep him upright.  I'm not too sure what Zach thought of all of this.

I have to think my Dad would have loved to see these guys riding horses.....

And of course they each brought home a perfect pumpkin!
